Traditional Yorkshire cake

Ingredients
1⁄2pound black treacle
1⁄2pound butter
1⁄2pound demerara sugar
1⁄2pound wholemeal flour
1⁄2pound oatmeal (medium)
2teaspoons ground ginger
1teaspoon baking powder
Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 150C. &nbsp;Line a 20cm x 20cm tin with grease proof paper. &nbsp;<div>2. Melt treacle, margarine and sugar in a pan.</div><div>3. Add half a cup of milk to the pan.</div><div>4. Measure flour, oatmeal, ginger and baking powder into a bowl.</div><div>5. Mix all ingredients together and pour into the tin.</div><div>6. Bake for 1 hour.</div><div>6. Cool in tin.</div><div><br></div><div>Best enjoyed a week after baking as this cake improves with age.</div>
